All Set for Oath-Taking of LU Elected Officials By: Israel O. Rudio Provincial Information & Tourism Office-La Union The elected and re-elected national and local officials of La Union will have their joint oath-taking ceremonies to be administered by Sandiganbayan Associate Justice Samuel R. Martires on June 30, 2013 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Convention Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union. All winning candidates from Congressmen down to Municipal Councilors are expected to attend regardless of party-affiliation in support to the leadership of Gov. Manuel C. Ortega. First to be sworn into office and deliver his inaugural address is 1st District Congressman Victor F. Ortega to be followed by 2nd District Congressman Eufranio C. Eriguel, ABONO Party-list Representative Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III and Governor Ortega. It will be followed by the oath-taking of Vice Gov. Aureo Augusto Q. Nisce. An alternate mass oath-taking follows to be started by members of the Provincial Board composed of Francisco “Kit” C. Ortega, Jr., Jonathan Justo A. Orros, Joaquin C. Ostrea, Jr., Reunaldo M. Mosuela and Victoria L. Aragon from the 1st District and Nancy Corazon M. Bacurnay, Robert B. Madarang, Jr., Christian I. Rivera, Ruperto A. Rillera, Jr. Bellarmin A. Flores II from the 2nd District; City and Municipal Mayors led by City of San Fernando Mayor Pablo C. Ortega who will also give his inaugural address; City and Municipal Vice Mayors; and City and Municipal Councilors. The Police Regional Office 1 Band will be playing the overture, Lupang Hinirang and La Union Hymn. After the pictorials, a fellowship lunch will follow at the Provincial Capitol Building. The La Union Police Provincial Office led by PSSUPT Ramon L. Rafael, City of San Fernando Philippine National Police headed by PSUPT Manuel P. Apostol and the Provincial Security Group will be present to ensure security.
