All UDP Members in Cabinet Are Asleep At Hunting Caye a Guatemalan Company is presently constructing a building which will be used as the Coast Guards Headquarters. All workers in the construction are Guatemalans. Minister of National Security responsible says USA is financing the project so they (US) got who they wanted to construct. This is very fishy and risky. Why will USA get a Guatemalan Construction Company, even more bring into Belize, Guatemalan workers to do this construction when Guatemala has an unfounded claim over Belize? To me this is an insult, a slap on the face and a kick on the nates to Belize and Belizeans. It is absurd that Guatemalans will construct what is a security building for Belize, as if we cannot do it ourselves. Meanwhile PM didn’t even know about all of this. Hunting Caye is a destination for a lot of wealthy Guatemalans who come to enjoy Belizean beaches and waters. Maybe one or some Parliament Members might be asleep; however, the case in this matter is that all are asleep; incredible!!!
