All day I have struggled with something God has put on my heart, and I have prayed and read and thought and I still dont know if I fully understand what it is he wants me to get from the message. I want to be very clear this is what God put on MY heart and by no means is this pointed at anyone, I just thought I would share just in case it can help someone. The message I got was The Church!! The building we gather in not the body of Christ but the building and how as church members we care more about gathering at that building than we do seeking the reason we gather. Church family is a wonderful thing, but what if your lost? The words church family doesnt really mean anything to you. Now im not saying our church and our church families are not important, Im just saying they shouldnt be the most important thing when it comes to being a christian. How many are guilty of looking around on sunday to see who is out, instead of noticing the thousands of people we come in contact with weekly that isnt there?? Maybe because we didnt ask them or maybe because it never crossed our mind to ask them, or is it we feel like we showed up and thats enough. I dont recall anywhere in the Bible were Jesus is planning what and how him and his disciples ( church ) are going to do for worship time on sunday. what I do recall is him consistently worrying about the lost, reaching people in need, spreading Gods word to someone new everyday. Now I will say again this message was for me, I just hope by sharing it, it may help someone. Please pray for me that I will come to understand what my God wants me doing with my life that will fully glorify him!
