All down my timeline, I see posts about the riots and looting in Ferguson... and those who bash them saying that wont work. I see folk calling for faith and prayer... and those, citing the 4+ century fight for civil rights in America, who say that wont work. I see folk calling for a Black Friday boycott... and those who say that wont work. I see folk who are saying that eradicating black on black crime is the answer... and those who say that wont work. I see folk claiming education and pulled up pants are the key... and those who see the disrespect and obvious racial discrimination against our own African-American President (who played by those rules) as basis for the argument that that wont work. I see folks calling for Black folk to get out and vote, when a hours viewing of Fox News alone shows us that alone wont work. And, I see folk calling out for peaceful protests... and those who say that wont work. ALL of the above has been done in some form before. And ALL of the above has NOT been the answer more than it has. We are on the path of becoming a divided, angry, hopeless, fearful, pessimistic and endangered culture in these United States... quite possibly, by design. Given our 400+ year legacy dying at the hands of the injustices in this country, what WILL work??
