All electrical motors have efficiency curves, that are the relationship between RPM, Torque and Power consumed. This curve will always have a point at which the efficiency is maximized. A higher power factor means that the current and voltage present in power lines are better synchronized; therefore the pulsating torque that is used to create torque is more uniform. In other words, “the road you drive on has fewer bumps”; and this will push the motor curve closer to its optimized efficiency point.
