All finished. This is my girl power day. We used to have an outside shower that was in an old corn shed. Then it got too dangerous to use so we bull dosed it. Since then no shower. So today I had enough its been one year with no kitchen sink and no running water so I tackled the problem. Finding out a sink using a wormery to sit it in. Using recycled bricks to weight it down. Some pipe and then I realised I can kill two birds with one stone and rigged up a shower behind it. We have our solar panels just sitting against a wall they are not in a system yet. So I have put curtains to cover then so they dont over heat when disconnected. Then when I want to use them pull curtains. Run water through and wait 6 min. If any longer the water super heats. I have rigged it so the shower hand rinse nozzle comes through to use in the sink for washing up. Then twist the knob and you can use the shower. Im much happier now had a lovely shower after doing the washing up. The hot tub is still a cold tub. We bought it with a broke heater and knowing it needed love for £270 we cleaned it out and put a net over to stop moszy suicides at night.. Its great to cool off in but our next project is muck power heating to it as we realised that if using solar panels we would lose too much heat at night. So off to build a muck heat next lol. Good job the shower sys is up and running. Lol COsts…. well…. Solar panels cost about £300 for the lot.. as they needed some love… Wormery.. £2 Pipe was kicking around… Pallet found.. Bricks reclaimed.. shower cost £15 of ebay sink £2 of recycle centre.. time 7 hours…. lol
