All grains have gluten. Only wheat, eye, and barley have a type of gluten that NO humans cant digest. Yes again NO human beings can digest this type of gluten and some have issues right away others longer over period of time. Not being able to digest leads to problems like Celiac disease, gluten insensitivity, and/ or intestinal permeability ( leaky gut). The stomach lining sheds every 7 days or so , healing the micro tears ( intestinal permeability/ leaky gut). Unless you keep eating and eating and over time leading to some health problems you just dismiss.. Our immunity lies in our guts!! With leaky gut you get inflammation and other problems.. Three autoimmune diseases associated with gluten insensitivity are : Celiac Disease, type 1 diabetes , and Hashimoto disease.
