All is peaceful in the Tree house Chapter III The Gig As the moment to sing arrived - I fixed my terrified gaze upon a friendly smiling face - who just happened to be a very handsome French Gentleman (I heard that) he gave me such a warm smile - it loosened the tight grip, the nerves had on my vocal chords and before I new it - the first song was sung and sung well if I do say so myself. The applause bolstered my confidence - clapping is a Universal language - and I must admit - I does love it. It’s surprising how quickly 45 minutes can go by - before we knew it our debut Paris gig was almost over - Swifty looked at me and smiled and asked what song should be our last - without thinking I said “Psycho Killer” - as Swifty cracked into the song fast and furious as he is want to do - we both suddenly remembered the French Verse. We held on to each other tightly - soooo closely - relieved as we were - to have reached France in one piece - that strings didn’t break and voices held through the gig - so happy to be together and loved up - despite life’s twists and turns. We were holding each other so closely - not even a breath came between us - we shared a tender kiss- both so excited - so happy - so content - there was only one thing left for us two lovers to do - and after the gig - the peeps - the wine - the dancing - the laughter - the punctures - the ferry crossing and 6 hours of driving - we fell fast asleep in each others arms. And when we awoke ………. To be continued
