All is set for tonights Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh Programme: Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh is an annual programme of the International Central Gospel Church. It comes off every 24th December. It symbolizes the gifts the three wise men presented to baby Jesus. The Gold signifies a gift for a king, symbolizing Jesus’ Kingship. Frankincense also symbolizes Christ’s Priesthood and the Myrrh symbolizes Christ’s death and His Resurrection. During the event, the festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is observed thus, celebrating the birth of Jesus. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible lessons. The occasion is also used to raise funds to support the needy in society. It’s also a moment of celebration for both the young and the old as members share great time of fellowship in God’s presence. Performances by the Accra Symphony Orchestra with Spirit.
