All is still and serene in the Tree house this morning - the sun is kissing a golden good morning to the daisies and delicious buttercups - whilst everyone here is dreaming and even The Swifty’s snoring seems to be set on chillax (not so much a freight train through a tunnel - as a sleepy Lion purring). We had a goodly day yesterday - we went a busking in the morning - or should I say - Swifty went a busking whilst I tested out a bit of the Ports Café culture - in the Pizzeria in John Frost Square - and discovered the most amazing Almond coated croissants filled with custard - I’m in love - simple as !. Then after picking up the Princesses from school - we headed to the Boating lake to have a mini BBQ - by the melted table in the park - where we were joined by the stupendous Mr Davies - who looked in fine fettle - for a man forced to live on pot noodles and beer. The Princesses used up what was left of their youthful energy scooting around in the gorgeous sunshine - whilst The Swifty cremated - sorry - cooked the burgers. Jon didn’t seem to mind though - as he was just back from the land of intellect - good companied beer - pebble beaches and enforced pot noodles - otherwise known as Aber University. And as the hot sun - sizzled - and melted into mellow evening - he told us tales - of fine Ale houses, full of people and streets pathed with busking gold. There were - I must admit - a fair few sarcastic curve balls courtesy of the Omni One yesterday - ranging from some idiot forgetting the coffee (I heard that - but you’d be right - I couldn’t help it I got distracted by the Almond croissants) the lack of sunshine up until 3 O’clock - and I’m still fighting with the image of the man with the 10 stone testicles - thanks to channel 4. But all in all - as Shakey would put it - “ all’s well, that ends well”. So here we are - Tuesday - a brand new sun kissed dawn in the Tree house and a brand new adventure. And I have a Roulade - a cup of Tea and 2 hours of peace and quiet - to start the day off in just the right manner.
