All is still positive with the girls. Callie was struggling breathing on her own with a CPAP so she took a step closer to being intubated again and is on a BIPAP. They are increasing her caffeine intake in hopes to stimulate her breathing. She isnt quite at a Tim Hortons medium double double, but shes getting there. Infection is still the same which isnt a bad thing. She still hasnt pooped but because she isnt on moms milk, they arent concerned. She weighs 2lbs 4ozs. Cayden didnt get extubated as planned because the valve was doing more of the work and they didnt feel she was ready. She seemed more alert tonight. She had a poop while we were present. She graduated to a different bed. Still no sign of infection. She weighs 2lbs. They both get scans on their eyes on January 22nd to check for proper blood vessel development.
