All it takes to end the Income Tax is a majority vote. It does not - TopicsExpress

All it takes to end the Income Tax is a majority vote. It does not require that we repeal the 16th amendment. If the GOP is truly interested in ending the Income Tax, they can do it. I grant you, it will not be easy. But as soon as the next session starts, the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority leader need to sit down and discuss a strategy to do so. Commissions and Committees will need to be formed. They need to put smart people in a room, and task them with coming up with a method to fund our Government without the Income Tax. Theyll need another room of smart guys to look at (and write) the various pieces of legislation that will be necessary to repeal the Income Tax, and write the new legislation to fund Government. Like I said, it will not be easy, but its doable. All it takes is a majority vote, which they have. At least start the ball rolling in that direction.
