All kitted up in middle-of-the-night walking gear waiting for 11.30 so I can head off to the meet up point for Leg 4 of the Head2head 125km charity walk. Just doing a last minute top up on strong coffee. I had planned to go to bed super early and grab a few more hours sleep beforehand but as ever, when you want to sleep...you just cant! Backpack packed...hydration unit (tick), head lamp & spare batteries (tick), emergency banana (tick), Gu Chews and assorted natural museli type bars (tick), gloves (tick), rain jacket (tick), cellphone (tick), $ in case we bypass any random very late night coffee shops (tick), and map (tick), spare socks and trampers wool (tick). Sleep (cross). Its about 11C outside so a nice walking temperature. Sleep well everyone (else).
