All my rescue friends please stop and read, you may know something that will help.... Today I rescued a cat, Lana A522850 from Devore Animal Shelter, she was going to be put down and the story is that she has a microchip and that this is the third time she has been brought to the shelter, (Probably by a trapper) all the other times the owner came for her but not this time, so when I got her I scanned her and called HomeAgain and found out that the microchip number is registered as a Pit bull and the owners name is Cynthia, so I called the phone number and a girl named Jessica answered and said that it is not her cat but that she used to pull Pit bulls at Devore for a girl named Cynthia, so I am not sure what is going on here but I suspect that the owner of this cat hasnt come for it the third time either because they have to pay up to $150 to get their cat back every time a trapper brings their cat to the shelter, or that somehow the microchip information got crossed and screwed up. There is probably a Pit bull registered under this chip and it has a completely different chip in it, and if it gets lost and found the chip that is in it wont show as being registered and there is probably someone that is missing their cat that may or may not want it back. So if anyone knows a Cynthia that used to rescue Pit bulls from Devore, please tell her that I need to talk to her. I hope this isnt too confusing.
