All my thinker friends - you HAVE to read This I Believe (there are several editions - one I know of from the 50s and at least one newer edition). I want to buy every one of you a copy and of course cannot afford to do so. Im so inspired and intrigued and validated. This book TOTALLY scratches an itch I have to know about people beyond the surface. Im addicted to this series, cant wait to find the NPR radio spot to listen to, and read the vast number of submissions via their website and Facebook page. Im addicted...hook, line, and sinker. This brilliant idea collects short essays about what ordinary and extraordinary (though we are all extraordinary in our own way) people believe and why (personal philosophies) and there are some great guidelines for submissions which attempts to keep judgement and preaching and negativity and all other manner of hinderances out of the way (as much as possible). Just human beings connecting with and to other human beings and the greater good. I want to quote something from every essay. Its been too long since Ive been this excited about a nonfiction book/idea.
