All of Anguilla today benefits from Tourism. Even those who are unemployed or underemployed benefit. Because, before there was tourism, there was no opportunity and very little chance at a job. Yes, all has not been well with our economy but that is the nature of going from almost no economy to a modern society in less than 40 years. The lifestyles and lives that we live due to this economy can be traced back to a single investor who took the chance. While vacationing in St. Maarten, Mr. Leon Roydon was contacted by Mr and Ms Robbin Ricketts with a plan to invest in a Five star luxury hotel in Anguilla. In a very short time, plans were on the way and the rest is history. Today, we say goodbye to an icon in Anguillas hospitality industry and one that helped this economy get off the ground. R.I.P.
