All of Blakes specialist met today (first time theyve all been in the same spot) and decided he needs his nutrition to improve so are going to watch him for another couple of weeks before surgery will be considered. Then possibly surgery for the couple of weeks after that followed by recovery. So best guess for right now will be about 5-6 weeks more of hospitalization. He hasnt been eating as much as they would like so he just got a feeding tube to run continuously through the night while continuing oral feeds during the day. If that doesnt help then they may have to surgically put one directly into his stomach. My biggest concerns right now is why he doesnt want to eat more and why his body isnt absorbing the good stuff he needs to gain weight, grow muscles and develop as well as the amount of time our family will be apart. Continued prayers for Blake to take off and fly as his urologist said.
