All of my doctors and sleep studies diagnosis me with Narcolepsy and cataplexy. It feels like mental illness to me. Multiple falls, fractures, psychologists, friends, family and medications help me to believe I have a medical condition, not a personality disorder, erratic desires or weak ability to focus. Yet it always feels to me as though I should be able to control it. Thank you to all my family, friends and doctors. I apologize to everyone impacted by turbulence surrounding me during harder times. I wish I could remove it completely. The intrusion of sleep and paralysis into wakefulness is what receives most attention. Yet, its the intrusion of wakefulness upon sleep that is most confusing.
