All of the superlatives are deserved. I went to Boyhood with high expectations, and Richard Linklaters film exceeded them. Ellar Coltranes growth from little kid to troubled middle-schooler to young man is seamless and touching. Patricia Arquettes portrayal as his mother is brilliant. Ive always loved Ethan Hawke, even as a well-meaning but goofy dad. As all the reviewers have said, Boyhood is groundbreaking. imdb/title/tt1065073/
