All of the worlds splendor cannot even begin to fulfill a person, as much as the joy that God has for each of us. On the outside and immediately as you enter, the world can appear to be an inviting house of wonders that is hard to resist. However, on the inside, it can be a true house of horrors (even a spiritual slaughter house). How often the boldness of youth will cause one to naively explore every room, in spite of the warnings of those who have been there and have experienced the traps and suffering that the house has in store. Yes, we are born into the world, so we cannot escape it entirely at first. How much easier our lives can be, though, the sooner we stop exploring and cling to God as our usher. He knows the way to safety. Oh, what joy floods the soul of all who make it outside, as the warmth that comes from the light of the Son can finally be felt upon their faces. Forever, He shines brightly for us, waiting for each of us to leave the world behind.
