All of this talk about the unfair budget that has supposedly crippled the lower-middle class whilst sparing high income earners and big businesses is far from the truth. Firstly, the well documented GP Co-Payment effects ALL AUSTRALIANS as well as the proposed implementation of the fuel excise indexation. Under our government, middle class welfare would be eroded with lower income earners being spared the shocks, which most people would believe is FAIR. Has anyone actually heard of the debt repair levy? I ask this question because this is one of the very few proposed budgetary measures that has actually passed through the senate so far and is aimed solely at high income earners. This micro reform is believed to only effect a very exclusive 2% of the population who were simply asking to pay 2% more tax in the brackets exceeding $180,000. It is an appropriate and very efficient measure in order to wipe the debt faster. So im asking all of the doubters and all of the Labor advocates out there why they believe this budget is supposedly unfair? EVERYBODY IS SIMPLY SHARING THE LOAD LIKE AND SHARE to show your support for the coalitions appropriate and fair austerity budget.
