All of us have special people in our lives who are our mentors or who have influenced us in a significant manner. Maybe a family member, a close friend or someone whom we work with closely in our 4Life businesses. This weekend I had the opportunity to celebrate my fathers 88th birthday! He is a man who taught me many things in life....To be a good person, to care about others, to work hard and to absolutely never give up. My father grew up in very humble circumstances on a farm in Idaho. At age 17, he left home to serve in the Navy in World War II. He served on a ship in the Pacific Ocean where he nearly lost his life in a number of battles. He ended up serving for almost 30 years in the Navy and Army. He is one of the very few people living today who served in World War II, the Korean War and in the Vietnam War. He is a man who loves his family, loves his country and loves to serve others. I owe much of what I am to what my father taught me. It is a great time to reflect on those who may have blessed our lives in some way and to give them a shout out of thanks! Thank you, Dad, and Happy 88th Birthday!
