All our SALT (Serving & Learning Together) participants will return home in a few short weeks! Malcolm McDermand shares the impact his host family had on him while in Nepal. I can’t count the times they have showered me with their love and kindness. Usually these acts of love involve more food than I can eat, endless cups of tea, or washing my clothes when I attempt to wash them myself. As anyone knows though, a year away from friends and family in a foreign land is filled with ups and downs. During those times of frustration, sadness, and sickness they comforted me. In the midst of my joys and excitement, they rejoiced and laughed with me.
