All-party Election forum to discuss the Arts The Fredericton Arts - TopicsExpress

All-party Election forum to discuss the Arts The Fredericton Arts Alliance has organized an all-party election forum on arts issues: Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. Each of the five registered political parties in New Brunswick has been invited to send a candidate. Five questions have been circulated in advance to the parties, but a lively format will permit further questions from the floor. Goose Lane Editions Publisher Suzanne Alexander will moderate the discussion, allowing each candidate a brief introductory statement. Each question will be directed to a single candidate – chosen by draw – with two other candidates offered an opportunity to rebut or elaborate on the issues raised. Each party will be able to respond to two of the five questions, with closing comments allowing candidates time to add their views where they did not have an opportunity during the questions.Questions from the floor will be dealt with in a similar manner, directed to a single candidate with two others being able to join the discussion. The session will close with refreshments and an opportunity for informal discussion with the candidates.
