All right, folks . . . So while this is Promoter / DJ Shaming (and Record Labels, too -- lets not forget!!) and theres gonna be a sense of . . . shade thrown, this group can ONLY be effective if we keep it professional. RE: The DJ Shiva post. Its getting deleted. Unless Lisa Ess didnt show up for gigs repeatedly, changed the details of the contract unexpectedly, routinely played inebriated or drunk, or whatever, then its not needed here. We *all* have people with whom we have FB-fought. I can throw a potato in a club in Indy and hit at least 30 people who think Im a dick. But that has no bearing on my DJ bookings. I waited this long because everyone knows Im friends with Lisa -- like they know Im friends with Gary -- and I had to maintain some level of objectivity (plus: there are eleven other admins here -- and its not my group, dammit!!!) but enoughs enough. I dont think, Angel, that you made this group to be a barrage of personal grievances. I know, when were all friends and running businesses, its hard to separate the two. Its even harder when friends fall out. Sucks. Sucks that Angel and Lisa and Adam cant work it out -- but they cant. Or wont. Whatever. But thats not the point of this page. Or so I thought. For you Indy folks: This is not IndyBassNet (though I do miss it) or IU-Ravers (ditto); for the rest of the world, nor is it Bluelight/Bluefight or RaveTrash or whatever else. This is supposed to be a place where we can go and discuss professional instances of contractual misunderstandings (to say it nicely). And, to a lesser extent, for the accused to have an opportunity to defend themselves. So . . . to the admins: Please admin. Or, you know, remove yourself from admin privileges -- you can do that, yknow. I certainly wont do it *for* you, because, again, this isnt my group. Remember: Everyone hates somebody. That has little to do with Business.
