All right, so, I just found out that sacrificing people to volcanoes actually does cool the volcano down by a bit. Because when you throw someone into a volcano, what happens is that a lot of energy go into their body due to a temperature difference right? So the energy from the lava goes into the person, which means that the lava and total energy of the volcano as a whole is reduced because it was used up slightly. So that means that the ancient humans of the past had it right, if they sacrifice enough people to the volcanoes, they really can cool the volcano down and stop eruptions!
