All rotted boards in the sub flooring have been removed and patched. Why did only THAT section rot? Well...it was interesting to find out that the dishwasher drain hose had been left totally unconnected to any drain and was simply pouring its water UNDER the old flooring into a conveniently rotted hole and down into the crawl space. Fortunately, I only used the dishwasher a few times when I first moved in or it would have done even more damage. Next on the agenda is to figure out just what someone was thinking when they wired the kitchen. On second thought, never mind....well just tear it ALL out and run entirely new lines. Found even MORE holes and mystery piping under the corner cabinet as well. Im glad theyll finally be fixed.
