All round a really good weekend at the Candleriggs. Today a small Glasgow University and Wet Night Squinty Bridge limited editions giclee prints heading to London bought by Dino. Also should mention the wee Brigodoon print bought by Clare B yesterday who stopped to introduce herself ,,i used to work with her hubby Fraser B who was always a friend and one of all round real good guys , She didnt know i had Brigodoon print but turned out they got married at brigodoon hotel so she snapped one up as soon she saw it,,,... Also handed over completed commission of the Lochgreen House Hotel, Troon to Sarah whose parents had commissioned it for her anniversary. Done in my quirky style and even though it was done in that style and wedding party very small background figures it was most definately her which i knew was a good likeness of her on wedding day when i painted it. Her first words when she the bride were my god thats me so I was mega chuffed as im always a wee tad nervous about commissions that are surprises. But the rock chick loved it when i was painting it and shes a good barometer of these things having watched me paint for 25 years. (25 years of mess she says) Dont have photo back from photographers yet but should have it tomorrow. I actually did have a print of it with me today and a girl has already ordered one today at candleriggs as her pal is getting married at Lochgreen next year,,,so not really knowing the the Lochgreen that welll already realising it has the makings of a successful print for me.
