All that remains of Ingrid is an area of showers and thunderstorms - TopicsExpress

All that remains of Ingrid is an area of showers and thunderstorms over eastern Mexico. However, another area of low pressure over the Yucatan peninsula is expected to emerge in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico later tonight or Wednesday. Conditions are expected to be favorable for development during the next few days as it continues to move slowly toward the west-northwest. Couple another shot of tropical moisture with a cold front moving into south-central Texas and you have a good chance for rain later this week. The front is expected to move through the region late Friday into early Saturday however, there is still some disagreement with regards to the timing. For now, the highest probability of rain appears to be on Friday. After the front passes, our pesky upper level ridge will move back in and result in a dry forecast and near normal temperatures from Saturday night into early next week.
