All that the women in TV soaps seem to be doing/interested in is all sorts of nonsense. Maybe there IS a parallel universe out there. 1.How to find the perfect husband(snatch, connive, manipulate someones hubby if you feel like it) 2. Husbands are dumb idiots ,no better than sheep really(apologies men!) who are clueless about all that is going on right under their noses 3. The mother in law is either a super shrewd woman(complete with sound effects)everytime she glares or thinks(all that is missing are the thought bubbles) OR she is the helpless woman who needs her bahu to stick up for her (seriously! Where are the normal MILs? ) 4. The sole ambition of all and I do mean ALL women, is to make THE perfect dish of their life (and get a mild Hey! This is nice. from the menfolk (in the words of a dilli aunty, an avid soap watcher aey le! Inna changa banaya si. Tareef na kariiin kabhi (I think she could taste the halwa) ;) 5. The workin women are like this superawesomely awesome multitasking breed who should never ever, ever let work and home mix. despite the countless maids and househelp, the dil should and will make all the dishes for each family member herself . So decrees the mother in law.. !!!!!!! A few minutes gave a headache. Why does everyone paint us women as such shallow , pathetic creatures? Because we are? A majority of us?
