All the Dads out there know this feeling...or you soon will. My boys have had a dozen sleepovers...easily, probably more. So the queen calls me from VBS (Vacation Bible School) and says Josaiah and Slade are spending the night at ______ house. My first thought SCORE. Night alone with the wife. My next thought, almost immediately....THIS. IS. HORRIBLE. No good night dad no love ya dad no can you read me a book or rub my back. Stoked to have the ole empty nest (not including Peyton, but shes sleeping already) but I feel like I just got dumped with the dear john letter. I dont get a we can still be friends. I hate spontaneous sleepovers and I am hereby calling a veto on all future occurrences without at least a hug and a love ya dad.
