All the presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would sign an undertaking to implement the party’s manifesto if elected. The national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun made this known yesterday at the party secretariat when Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso returned his nomination forms. Odigie Oyegun said, “What we are going to take over from PDP is a nation that is factually torn into pieces in every facet of human life, but I want to assure you that we have people who will take these challenges on. “We have manifestoes which we are going to commit them to faithfully implement; as a matter of fact at the screening there will be an undertaking to be signed as regards the implementation of our manifestos.” He commended Kwankwaso for his good works in Kano State and promised that the party would provide a level playing field for all the aspirants. Earlier, in his remarks, the governor who came in company of the former Kogi State governor, Abubakar Audu and other supporters, said that if elected as APC presidential candidate, he has the capacity to divide PDP votes, adding that most of his friends in PDP were waiting for him to secure the ticket. “We are aware that so many people have seen the light and are joining the progressives today. So, you can be rest assured that we are going to win many of the states in addition to the centre. We are going to work even harder to make sure that I clinch the ticket of the party which I believe will be in the interest of the APC.
