All these folks fussin about school, in or out. Years ago, when I was in school, we had to go regardless! Now days, a little trickle or a little cold, everybody THINKS school needs to be out! Seriously? I guess our previous superintendent spoiled quite a few people! Whether you see it or NOT, there ARE children in our community who are NOT as fortunate as others, many who do not have the warmth and/or food several of you do who are reading this post. Therefore, school is a necessity for them in so many ways. For those single parents who work, trying to raise their children, I would venture to say it is a very strong financial burden when school is out, they have to find someone they trust last minute to care for their little ones while they work or simply stay at home themselves, thus risking their jobs - all for what? A little cold? I would sincerely hate to know how things would be if a serious issue surfaced! Anyway, I hope you all have a WONDERFUL evening, because its 27 degrees and we now have a heat wave!
