All things considered: Walmart would be well advised to offer - TopicsExpress

All things considered: Walmart would be well advised to offer increased wages & benefits (or at least paths to increased wages & benefits) for their employees. Yes, they have a right to stick to their Conservative/Libertarian principals and pay the lowest wags allowed by law. But they have earned so much general hostility that it very well may be a good business practice to change their ways and be more generous. And OK, so the re are about 20 family members. Suppose they we only richer than only 35% of everybody in America, rather than 42%. Would they really notice the difference? I worked in the insurance industry for may years and some of the most disastrous court cases (for the whole industry) came about because a couple knuckle headed insurance companies got into a squabble and refused to resolve things until the State Supreme Courts, then US Supreme Courts, made decisions that messed up the industry for years. The handwriting is on the wall, Mene, Mene, Teqel, Upharsin. (Look it up on Wiki, the saying applies rather well to WalMart.)
