All this insurance stuff with the camper is allowing me to learn so many new things and practice my interpersonal skills at being tactful and yet firm in my insistence that things happen... For instance, in Vermont, if your insurance company totals your vehicle and you purchase a new one to replace it, you dont have to pay any sales tax on the new one up to the amount that your receive for your settlement on the old one. This saves LOTS of money! :) What this doesnt mean is that the insurance company is going to write us a check for the difference in sales tax nor does it mean that I will have to file to have the sales tax reimbursed from the State of Vermont. It does mean that when we go to closing on the new camper, the business manager at the dealership WILL REDO ALL THE PAPERWORK reflecting this because, I do have all my documentation and will bring it with me. (said with a smile) Ahhhhh.....I am certain that I have once again been labeled a B!@#$.
