All this negative energy with whats been going on in the world has really taken a toll on me. I would like to just take a deep breath and be thankful for the life I live. I can sit in my quiet backyard and have a glass of wine and play catch with my 6 year old neighbor. I can share a meal with my family and friends. I can watch my dogs sleep. I can shit in the toilet, flush it, and not have to worry about disposing the waste myself. I have these luxuries not only because of my choices, but because of others choices, sacrifices, and simply the fact that I was lucky enough to be born in a country where we happily and commonly say that ignorance is bliss. If you are reading this, you are better off than most people and you have amazing opportunities and resources available. There are military women and men who sacrifice the ultimate so that our families dont have to fear being bombed or taken in the middle of the night. Just take a second to let that sink in. Despite blood being shed over money, religion, resources, and power, there remains the simple truth that you are an American citizen who is lucky enough to be removed from most of the worlds woes. Do what you will with this reminder, but just let that sink in for a minute. Peace and blessings!
