All three Seattle Academy robotics teams performed strongly at the Interleague Event Saturday 1/10 at Everett HS. 2856 and 5619 were selected to move on to the elimination matches after playing qualifying matches. 2856 was selected to play on the 3rd place alliance while 5619 was selected to play on the 2nd place alliance. Because of the elimination tournament format, these two teams ended up playing each other in a best of three format. The 3rd place alliance upset the 2nd place alliance and moved on to play the 1st place alliance. They were outclassed in the finals, but still represented themselves strongly. There are also awards given, and 2856 was a nominee for the Inspire Award (the highest honor given at the competition), while 6157 (an all freshmen team) was the recipient of the Think Award (the second highest honor given at the competition). Because of the awards, 2856 and 6157 are two of the eight teams that qualified for STATE last night!!!
