All through junior high and high school, Caroline just LOVED to wear her activity t-shirts to school, whereas I encouraged her to wear something cuter. It was a very mild but ongoing difference of opinion. (She wore the shirts.) So, when she graduated, I thought I should do something with her old t-shirts, to show her that I did appreciate all those extracurricular activities. I didnt want to make one of those t-shirt quilts, so after much thought, I decided to make her.... a set of underwear. When we were moving her into her room, I said, Oh, I got you some new underwear, want me to put it in your drawer? It was quite a moment when she saw them. We all express love in different ways, right?
