All will admit that Jesus Christ established his church while he - TopicsExpress

All will admit that Jesus Christ established his church while he was on this earth. They will further agree this church was established in the First Century somewhere between 27 -33 AD. Not a single so called “church” on earth will admit otherwise. Matt 16:18 Jesus said, “I will build my church.” He did not say the apostles would or some future person or entity would. And then he said “The gates of Hell will not prevail against it.” The greek word used for hell was the word Hades, and hades by all the best lexicographers is defined as meaning the unseen world, be it the grave, the burning hell, the afterlife, the prison house of the dead or whatever. This word most certainly also mean “death”. The word prevail was a greek word that meant “win it over be victorious over, conquer. be triumphate over” The phrase “gates of hell” was a phrase which mean the powers or authorities over hell. In those days judges “sat in the gate” or at the entrance of the cities and judged, hence the phrase “sat in the gate” or the “gates”. An exhaustive translation of this passage would be “I alone, will be building my church and all the powers of the unseen world, including death shall NEVER win over or be triumphant over my church. Now is Jesus built his church in the 1st century and promised it continuous perpetuity, then it has to have been in existence since the days of the apostle. Au contrare, any church which was established since that date cannot possibly be his Church, and any church which has a founder other than Jesus Christ cannot possibly be his church. There are a lot of “churches” today, but only his church has authority from him to conduct the Lord’s business or claim his promises to his church. Eph 3:21 says “unto him be glory IN THE CHURCH by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Therefore in order for him to be glorified in the church in every age, there must be found his church in every age. For anyone to teach His church died, or was non existent, or a new one had to be established, is to deny the very words of Jesus Christ. His church can be identified by its name, doctrine, origin and practice. If its doctrine is not that of the New Testament, or its origin is beyond New Testament era, it cannot possibly be His church, regardless of what its proponent may teach. Their only hope for existence is to come up with another Bible or another Gospel, to justify their teachings and some whopping story to justify it all. Now some may claim that God told them this or that, but God is not going to tell anyone anything that contradicts his word. You remember that when they start spinning yarns about their origins and their new translations or Bibles, or additions to the Word. “Whatsoever God doeth, he doeth it forever and NOTHING can be put to it or taken from it.” Gal 1:7-pp “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the race of Christ, unto another gospel, which is not another but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the Gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. , If As we said before, so say I now again any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now , or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ persuade men. Notice here that Paul stated “have received” in the perfect tense, meaning that Gospel had already been received at some past time and was complete in its action versus him saying “you have been receiving” which would have opened the flood gates for progressive revelation or a future revelation. Since it is in the perfect tense, the gates are closed. The Greeks had 8 declensions of their nouns etc into Nominative, genitive, ablative, locative, instrumental. dative, accusative and vocative, which were written in five different forms. The word “of” puts the object of the preposition into either the genitive case which shows an ownership or the ablative case which shows and origin or separation from something…ie He is of samaria, meaning he originated in Samaria. Or the house of John meaning the house John owned. So when you hear the Gospel of Christ, or the doctrine of Christ, it means the Gospel or doctrine, that belonged to him or the gospel or doctrine, which had its origin in Him. Every time a word is in the genitive case or the ablative, it absolutely without exception will mean one of these two things, and must be accordingly translated. Otherwise it is a perversion of the text. Now Paul said this gospel of Christ…meaning it belonged to him and came out of him. II John 1: 8-pp 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine OF CHRIST, hath not God. He that abideth in the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Now that is pretty plain to me, that to bring another Gospel than that which was received or another doctrine than that of the Lord is to bring judgments and curses upon oneself. Now, ya’ll remember I did not write it, I just quoted it…so go tell God how upset you are with it all. Oh and by the way, who established your church and when was it done????
