All work here at the sanctuary is just that little bit harder/tiring/exhausting due to the extreme heat & storms lately. Big beautiful Jake who is rehabilitating after an accident with us for Dachshund Rescue Australia is not at all fond of storms (or even rain soaked grass-bless his paws) so when the big storms hit last week he looked so unhappy I sent him with his best mate Jack to watch movies together until the storm passed. Nothing like a snack,cuddle & nap to make you feel better is there Jake. I guess it worked look at that contented expression on his face. My son was also glad to stop and come inside from repairing fences for a while! We will miss this big fellow when he goes to his forever home he is quite the character
