All you Latter-day Saints out there: Yesterday Jon and I attended - TopicsExpress

All you Latter-day Saints out there: Yesterday Jon and I attended a wedding in Laie. The Groom, Mitchell Rudolph from New Zealand and roommate, and Maori Village mate of our son, Paka got married. His sweet new bride is Chamorro/Samoan-Family name-Fitisemanu and related to every whos who in Laie! But what struck me was when her uncle (Samoan)got up and told the family that there would be no money dance or money given out in any of the performance, and you can make a donation to the Bride and Groom. A gospel centered event, very humbling. Nobody complained. Then, the Mother of the Groom got up and spoke about the Family: A Proclamation to the World, and then bore her testimony! Seamus Fitzgerald, PCC Maori Village Chief got up and talked about how the Gospel brings people together.
