All – Just a quick reply regarding the temperature in the Studios at Worthing LC and to let you know what we can :) and can’t :( do. We recently linked all the classes to our energy management system to try to maintain the temperature at the right level; i.e. warm the room when it’s cold and cool it down when it’s too hot. Julia and Charlotte are doubling checking this with our Maintenance Officer at the moment to get the optimum settings for the intensity of each class. We have actual air conditioning in the Spinning and main Studio, but not in the Range or Main Hall. The big wall fans bring the air in from outside, but this doesn’t work too well when the outside temperature is much higher as it can during the present hot spell. We have met this morning with all those involved and I’ve commissioned additional wall fans for the Spinning Studio and the Range as well as some portable vortex fans. We’re also having a few other minor alterations to the settings which should help in the short term. The law of sod dictates that all this will be done just as the weather turns cooler and we’re a little restricted by the 40+ year old design in some areas, but we’re trying to get this right and I appreciate everyone’s continued feedback.
