Allah Karay - Allah Na Karay and Maula Karay - Maula Na Karay. (May God do such and such - God forbids and May the Prophet or Imam do - May the prophet or Imam NOT do) Ali A. Mirza - March 8, 2014 A very sad aspect of the #MuslimSocieties all over the world, and specially so in the #IndoPak culture is Allah Karay and Allah Na karay. We are taught from the very child hood by the #Mullahs and unfortunately from our parents also, that everything that happens in our lives, ONLY happens - or does NOT happens, because God either wanted them to happen or did not want them to happen. So therefore we must pray to God for each and everything, because ONLY God will make it happen or prevent it from happening. Let me be very clear here that I am NOT denying the power of prayer as a supplement to ones efforts in achieving something or preventing something bad from happening. What I am talking about is the deep rooted psychology that makes us believe that whatever is happening - or NOT happening, in our lives and around us, is because God wanted it this way. There is huge historical background to this phenomenon, and why the Mullahs - AND THE RULERS, want us to believe this nonsense. The nature of short posts do not allow me to go into those details. But please travel me in time with all honesty, and remember the prayers that we have always heard from the Imams of our respective mosques from our very childhood: * Allah Musalmanoon kay dushmanon ko dunya bher may gharat ker (May Allah destroy the enemies of Muslims all over the world) * Allah Israel ko tabah wa barbad kerday (May Allah destroy Israel) * Allah Hindustan ko tabah wa barbad ker day (May Allah destroy India) * Allah dunya bher may musalmanoon ka bool bala ker day (May Allah glorify the Muslims all over he world) * Allah Pakistan ko azeem falahi mumlikat bana day (May Allah make Pakistan a prosperous country) * Allah Pakistan cricket (ya hockey) ka match jeet jai (May Allah give victory to Pakistani cricket (or hockey) team. And the list goes on and on and on...... Today, this phenomenon has almost completely taken over any and all will and determination, of actually making anything happen and/or stop the bad things from happening. Hence, as a nation, we the Pakistanis, do not plan, do not strive, do not prepare, do not acquire expertise and knowledge, we do not understand - WE JUST PRAY: * Allah Taliban aur dehshat gardoon ko dakhil-e-jahanum ker (May Allah send Taliban & Co. terrorists to hell) * Allah zalimoon aur qatiloon per laanat karay (May Allah curse upon the killers and oppressors) * Allah Pakistan may aman qaim kerday (May Allah establish peace in Pakistan) * Allah Pakistan ko Shaam bunnay say bacha (May Allah save Pakistan from becoming another Syria) And the list goes on and on and on....... If we do not change this attitude and start WORKING AND STRIVING TOWARDS ACHIEVING THE GOALS WE WANT TO ACHIEVE, INSTEAD OF JUST PRAYING ABOUT THEM, then as a nation we can collectively recite the following...................!!! ALLAH NAY KARAY
