Allah Pak has been very kind today in giving me the opportunity to save another persons life. Earlier Today i alongside my father visited D-12, a new sector recently established in the heart of Islamabad. Like every other new sector it was deserted with only a handful of houses completely built. While enjoying the breathtaking view from one of the houses rooftop , i suddenly noticed a man who had fallen from his motor bike and was lying unconsciously on the road. My instincts kicked in and i at once ran towards the unconscious person hoping to give him a quick Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, if the time allowed me. I had to sprint the distance of more than 400 meters in less than a minute as every second elapsed was precious. Upon reaching the spot where the lifeless body was laying, i instructed the person standing next to the body to remove his Bike Helmet to which he replied that he has already checked the pulse and the person has passed away. Sir jee yeh foat how gai hai. I forcefully ordered him to remove the helmet which again was tightly strapped around his neck and counter checked the pulse to which it was quite clear to me that the person had no life in him. After giving him a quick CPR ( which i had learned while i was working in #shifa #hospital) there was no response. I was a bit disappointed but i did not give up and gave him a second Hard CPR to which his lifeless body immediately sprang back to life. He was partially conscious now but he managed to fight the odds and live through the trauma. I wanted to share this and give a message to everyone reading that one must never hesitate or shy away and must always try his/her level best as only through timely effort and quick apt response will you be able to achieve such feat.
