Allah azza wajal says “As for those who reject Our Signs as false, We shall lead them, step by step, to their ruin without their even perceiving it.” This ayah scares me a lot! A lot of the Muslims have gone astray and lost their compass! The scariest thing is that Allah leads them step by step without them feeling it. I know a man who got his Masters from Islamic University in Madinah. He used to lead Taraweeh in Ramadan and he was raised as a true student of knowledge. He left all of this behind his back and now he doesn’t even pray in the masjid at all. I know a practicing woman who memorized the full Quran and used to pray night prayers. She abandoned Hijab and works in a mixed environment company. The problem is that Allah leads them step by step but they don’t perceive it! They get promotions and people praise their work and things are going their way, thinking that Allah is pleased with them. With each promotion, more compromises are required, which they happily provide. Their bank account gets bigger yet they feel no true happiness. They drown themselves in the seas of dunya trying not to hear the cries of their conscious which they wish to suppress. A trip to Dubai without a Mahram to watch a movie with the girls has become normal to such a woman. Doubting the rules of Allah for a man who studied Shariah is an issue of dispute that can be justified to such a man! Is this what Allah created you for? Allah created us for only one reason; to worship Him. He didn’t create us to enjoy fancy cars or live in big mansions. However, a lot of Muslims are being lead step by step to their destruction without even noticing it. Are you one of them? It is time to reflect and seek Allah’s guidance.
