Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth,the parable or(example)of His light is as if there were a niche and withing it a lamp,the lamp is in glass,the glass as it were a brilliant star,lit from oil of blessed tree(OLIVE),neither from the east nor of the west,whose oil would almost(glow forth of itself),though nor fire touched it..Light upon light!Allah guides to His Light whom He wills,and Allah sets forth examples for mankind,and He Allah is All Knower of everythingQ24 V35... I love this verse,in addition in Imam bin Katheer book of commentary,Abdullahi bin Abbas may Allah be pleased with him stated,,,the meaning of olive nor from east or west is,the tree in the east has little rain or non at all but much sunlight(vitamin D),so is the one in the west gets much rain but little sunlight or non at all(the fruit it produces is either ripe by sunlight alone no rain or by rain alone no sunlight)either way is not the best of fruits...but Allah in His wisdom meant the one that grows in between weathers and produce best fruit.......that has the best oil,and the light is as a bright star that comes up by it self without lighting it by fire......ALLAHU AKBAR
