Allie and I will be moved out by this time next week. Management is entering apartments on our floor today to tear out the bathroom fans and put new ones in. They are knocking then coming right in. Not giving tenants who are home time to answer before they barge in and scare the bejesus out of folks. I tend to be armed and hostile when this happens. (in general) Plus, allie and I dont need construction projects to work around while packing so I found the appropriate legal info from the Oregon State Bar and posted the following letter along with a print out of the legal document to back it up on our front door: To: J.E.M.S. Corp Representatives and Contractors RE: Lizzann Terrace Apartments, Unit #49 With regards to the notice of entry for the purpose of installing new bathroom ventilation fans,and in consideration of the residents of unit #49 vacating said unit on or before the date of May 1st, entrance to the above specified unit is hereby REFUSED by authority of Tenant Privacy as defined by Oregon Law (see attached document) until the specified date of vacancy. Failure to honor this refusal may result in legal action. Entrance to the specified unit will be treated as Home Invasion. They can have the whole damn place to themselves this time next week...
