Allow me to complete and for your information : ….…is an annual guest of the Boston, Chicago, San Francisco Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a regular guest of the New York Philharmonic whom he will conduct at the Shanghai MISA Festival in July. He recently took the Boston Symphony to Japan and China, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra to South Africa, the NHK Symphony of Tokyo to the Salzburg Festival, and tours regularly with his London Royal Philharmonic all over Europe. He will tour with the Vienna Symphony in Hungary, Slovenia and Italy, and with the Suisse Romande Orchestra in the USA. He will also conduct again in St Petersburg (Philharmonie) and visit the Transsiberian Festival in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. And last October, Charles Dutoit did the Chinese première of Elektra at the Beijing Festival and in December, conducted Pelléas et Mélisande in Tokyo. This year, his schedule includes Bartok’s Bluebeard’s Castle in London, Szymanowsky’s King Roger in Boston, Ravel’s L’Heure Espagnole in San Francisco, Strawinsky’s Le Rossignol at the Concertgebouw, Berlioz’s La Damnation de Faust in Cleveland, Salomé in Tokyo, Berlioz’s Te Deum in Sydney, Australia, and Berlioz’s Les Troyens in Geneva with the Royal Philharmonic. …and he is also Music Director of the Verbier Festival Orchestra.
