Allowing my children to feel pain, rejection, and not rush in to - TopicsExpress

Allowing my children to feel pain, rejection, and not rush in to save them is one of my most challenging aspects of parenting. My children are grown and still when they are facing difficulties, my mamma bear wants to protect them. But I have grown wiser on my path and the best I can do is surrender them to their own experiences, joys, heartaches, lessons. Letting go of children to their own life path yet keeping the heart string attached is a big big lesson for me and it requires healthy boundary setting. I stand as a witness. I offer support not a rescue boat. Both my child and me are learning. It isnt fair of me to rob a child of life experiences because I cant be uncomfortable while my child experiences growth. Trusting myself, trusting my child. All be well, and all is well. Letting go gently. Bidding adieu to my magical Monday.
