Allright, Allright, Allright.....heres one for all you fans of radio during the 70s/80s that we hope youll enjoy. Check out the audio below of one of his shows. Youll surely enjoy his delivery and the show. So glad to see that Lenoard Postero (Athens, GA) has been recognized in the Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame . Those of us in radio during the early 70s remember winding up the reel to reel tape to cue up Leonards Losers - Leonard Postosties (1958-1999), a syndicated radio show describing college football match ups & predicting the LOSER. Unique & clever idea to predict the losers, when everyone else were predicting the winners. He encouraged everyone to Raise Your Pigskin I.Q. and to Get Your Load Of Weekly Smart Pills from his show. Sure miss those days of radio & the personalities like Leonard who used a rural country dialect to describe the teams in a comedic manner and of course, the smart pills that enabled him to make the right prognostication. He described the Georgia Dawgs, at times as the red clay hounds & Florida Gators as giant water lizards. Percy Peabody, his sidekick (voiced by Leonard), introduced him and closed out the show letting everyone know Lenoard would be back next week with another bunch of losers. After the Herschel Walker years, Vince Dooley seemed skeptical in the pre-season that the Dawgs would be very good. Of course, the newspapers picked up on that & so did Leonard, as shown in one of his prognostications as follows: The Golden Eagles will fly into the Sanford Dog House looking for a weak bunch of K-9s that Vince Dooley has been telling the world about, but Jim Carmodys Birds will be astonished at how different these Bulldogs are in person than the ones they read about in the papers...
